"All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better." Ralph Waldo Emerson

On my 12 minute walk to the subway to catch the green line down to the LES (lower east side), I was overwhelmed by taxi's honking, construction workers screaming to each other, and the relentless 30 degree wind.
Growing up in Austin, Texas I would have never in a million years guessed I'd be where I am today. When  I was little I always wanted to be a ballerina. My dreams then turned to radiology (some might agree that's an odd goal to have at a young age). After graduating high school, a close friend talked me into attending The University of Georgia. So after 22 years in southern states, obtaining a degree in fashion merchandising, and having a boyfriend newly enrolled in NYU Law, I decided to make a big change.
After signing a year long lease to an apartment on the UES (upper east side) and realizing I had no idea what I was going to do as a career, I had a few break downs and constantly questioned if I had done the right thing. During college one summer I was an intern at Seventeen Magazine with one of the most amazing bosses one could ask for. Since then, my former boss and I have kept in touch with her being nice enough to deal with my panicking moments. After months of trying to get together we finally found ourselves at Wilfie and Nell's catching up on endless topics. Out of nowhere she remembered that one of her best friends had a client that was looking for a personal assistant. She said I should at least send my resume over and try and get an interview. Long story short, here I am 4 months later as Kelly Killoren Bensimon's assistant. I like to think of my job as "planning, organizing, socializing, ordering, protecting, laughing, stressing, strategizing, plotting, etc., with Kelly Bensimon all day every day."
Through this blog I would like to share my "experiment" with you. As the title of this post reveals, the more chances you take the more exciting life will be for you. No, my blog isn't going to focus on Kelly... but since she has become such a big part of my life, I do hope you will get to know the Kelly I spend everyday with, laughing at the most random absurd things. I hope to share websites with you that I have grown weak for, photos from my personal collection, behind the scene looks at fashion, stories that will entertain you, and most importantly, create a fun place to go and to share my experiment with you!

A big thank you to Kiah Denson (my amazing talented cousin) for letting me use her BEAUTIFUL art as my page logo!! :) I love you!!
