After spending a week in Austin, I feel alive again. Lots of sunshine, endless amounts of tacos, family and friends, sxsw-ing; it was everything I needed. Everyone needs a home base, whether it's actually your home, or just a place you can recharge and relax. Austin is that for me. Emails kept coming but knowing where I was seemed to make everything a lot easier.
Since this post is about happiness, I thought I would share things that I've enjoyed these last few weeks.
Nueva Onda in Austin. This place used to be my family's little secret breakfast spot, the Migas are the best I've ever tasted. I crave mexican food all the time, but nothing hits the spot like Nueva Onda! The staff is amazing and nothing on the menu will disappoint.
Lights Out Candles have become my weakness.
A cup of hot tea or coffee + a delicious smelling candle = a perfect couple of hours for me.
These candles are made in Austin but check out the website and if you're lucky you may be able to find a store near you that sells them.
I read this book while traveling and I can't get it out of my head.
A must read.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and that your Monday runs smoothly, because we all know, they really are the worst!
