cookies mean christmas time
in my house, when the holidays roll around, so do the homemade cookies. peanut butter blossoms and snickerdoodles never miss out on the festivities - and to me, they represent each side of my family.
snickerdoodles come from mom's side [mom's are always a little eh.. more done than grandmom's were] while the peanut butter blossom's rich chocolate kiss will always remind me of my mama nancy. while i could go into great detail about how the cookies coordinate with each side - i'll just say that in the end, they're both covered in sugar and sweet.. yep, just like my family [cheesy enough for you?].
i love that families have their holiday traditions. christmas eve? we head over to my uncle's to indulge in his wife's norwegian meatballs and lefse. to others this might sound ridiculous but to me it means christmas.
