i was recently asked who my style icons are.. this is a question i've always avoided, that and who are my favorite designers. forced to answer i came up with a few ladies who are in the public eye today for whatever reason. these are ladies with an understated style - the kind of style anyone can have, the kind though that makes these ladies who they are.
so.. it wasn't that hard to answer the question. next question, what are a few staple items you think everyone should invest in..
accessories
you wear these everyday no matter the outfit. these pieces never "go out of style". timeless.
handbag: the older the better in my opinion. i'm a vintage clutch freak - they must be in good condition and the more unique the color, the better.
a statement piece of jewelry: this is the piece that you rarely take off. for me, i have two.. my grandmother's earrings and my grandmom's ring. the ring never comes off and the earrings are worn (literally) almost everyday.
sunglasses: if you're responsible, one nice pair. if not (like me..) multiple pairs of cheap sunglasses.. blue, black, red..
