Growing up in Austin, I know that it's hard to beat a great concert. Small & intimate or packed & sweaty, there's something about live music that just soothes the soul. I'm not really one for cheesy country music or screaming rock bands but there's something about the singer/songwriter genre that just really captures me. Popping those little ear buds in and floating away with different artists is something that really helps my morning and afternoon commutes on the subway. Walks home are a little more lively and it seems as though everyone is in sync with your music.
Current Obsession:
Emily Hearn
This lady is one of the few I really don't think I could ever get sick of listening to. Although I've never been to one of her shows, I am a creepy obsessed fan. I promise I will make one of them!
I mean, this is just her warming up.
Her newest album Red Balloon is one you can't help but listen to it on repeat. It never gets old.. you'll hum the songs throughout the day and then continue the album on repeat when you get home.
Like Ships Need The Sea is irresistible.
Have a listen (pop those head phones in!) and then just go ahead and go here to purchase the album.. you too will have it on repeat in no time!
Thank you Emily for creating music that is original and heartfelt!!
Happy Wednesday!
