Nostalgia is like a grammar lesson: you find the present tense, but the past perfect! ~Owens Lee Pomeroy

As Nick sweetly told me during our move.. I have a stuff problem. I hold onto old magazines for "inspiration", my craft box is constantly overflowing, and I never leave empty handed from a flea market trip. It was hard at first, but now I can admit that I actually do have a stuff problem.

The past few weeks we've been trying to clear out the basement. We have antique furniture that's been passed through family, boxes of high school things that I haven't seen in 10 years, collectible coins that must have meant something to someone once, boxes of crystal wine glasses, old frames, 100 year old solid wood doors, chandeliers.. you name it, we probably have it.

An old pump organ that was originally found in pieces and carefully put back together by my grand dad? We have it.

Royal Doulton's Wild West collection.. signed by Michael Doulton himself? We have it.

Refinished vanity dresser used by every generation of the family? We have that too.

So, I've realized that my entire family has this same stuff problem. We have all come to terms with it and we've decided to clean out the items we just really don't need.
Thank you ebay and craigslist for helping us with our problems - you're proving that one person's trash really is another person's treasure. But why is it so hard to part with these things??
