If you're not in New York, you're camping out. ~Thomas E. Dewey

After 3 years in New York with no car, we were actually looking forward to our drive from Austin to Scottsdale (soon, Scottsdale to San Francisco!). We decided to break up the trip with a one night stay in Marfa, Texas. A city I've always wanted to go to but never had the chance to visit. After much debate on which hotel we wanted to book, we ended up settling with El Cosmico. With their camping concept, we were a little worried about going through with this during Texas' mid-August heat, but the night was perfect. The sky was glowing with bright stars and the breeze was a cool 65. We lucked out indeed! Oh, and we really did see some very mysterious lights!
