I'm not good with change. The word really makes me uneasy. I'm slowly learning that change isn't always a bad thing. The more you embrace it the easier it is.
Change is something that happens whether you're ready or not.
Change is happening.
No, not just in the weather. And while I'm on that topic, it hasn't gotten out of the 40s today in New York - what the heck?! But I digress..
This is the last weekend of April.
May 18th Nick graduates from Law School.
May 23rd is my last day in the office.
May 31st we lock the door to our tiny apartment and wave goodbye to
Manhattan from the comfort of our airplane seat.
Oh man.
Typing it some how makes it more real than the 1 way ticket, last day of work or quick chats with co-workers about moving.
Our new home will be San Francisco.
We've known about it since September, yet some how it always seemed just like a fun thing to talk about. The idea of the west coast, the sun and the water are so nice to day dream about. It's going to be home!
This summer will be our time to unwind. Austin will be home again for a few months before we head to Scottsdale. We'll enjoy life and do nothing until September and then road trip up to San Francisco!
Oh change, you're really happening!!
So this weekend while Nick is working on his thesis and studying for finals.. I'll be cleaning and trying to figure out the details of this whole moving thing. Maybe send a few boxes out to make room for our last month of New York.
While my head is whirling with all of the above, I leave you with my random finds from the week.
I plan on snagging some of Mom's old barn wood and creating a coat "rack" with these.
I'd like these guys, okay maybe just one, to be on my bedside table. (I'm going to finally have room for a BEDSIDE table!!!!)
I'm lusting over these.
Happy Weekend! xJ
